Good afternoon Cougar families! We have a busy week ahead at MES. Tuesday, the 5th grade Science Benchmark begins. It's very important your child is at school on time for the benchmark. Our students worked so hard on the Reading and Math benchmarks and I know the 5th grade students will continue to do their best on the Science Benchmark. Wednesday, May 1st, is an Early Release day. We will begin dismissal at 1:00. Please make plans to be in the car line or at the bus stop early on Wednesday. Friday, May 3rd, is MES field day. Students will start arriving to the field around 8:30 and the events will begin at 9:00. We will have Pelican snowballs and other various items for sale during the field day. If you are wanting your child to be able to purchase any items, please make sure you send them with some extra money on Friday. The field day events will end around 11:30 on Friday. We hope to see you on the ball field at Middlesex Elementary School on Friday. I want to remind everyone, school age students should not be at any event at Middlesex Elementary that takes place during school hours. The expectation is those students should be at the school in which they attend. Also, if a Middlesex Elementary student is not in attendance on the day of the event, they should not attend the event. There was some confusion about this during the chorus concert. If you bring a school age child to the field day, they will not be allowed to attend. I look forward to seeing our parents on Friday!
