Administration
Ms. Carey earned her undergraduate degree from Meredith College continuing her studies at North Carolina Wesleyan College and Nash Community College to complete teacher certification requirements. She earned a master's degree in administration and curriculum and instruction from East Carolina University. Ms. Carey has 23 years of educational experience serving as a teacher and assistant principal at Southern Nash Middle School.

Dr. Lee is a native of Rocky Mount, NC with over 20 years of experience in early childhood and elementary education. She graduated from East Carolina University with a degree in Child Development and Family Relations and Birth-K teaching licensure. She later added her K-6 teaching license. In 2007, she graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill with a master’s degree in school administration. In 2021, she completed her doctorate in education from Gardner-Webb University. She has worked in many schools throughout NCPS serving as a teacher and instructional coach. Dr. Lee also spent several years at NCC as the director of the Betsy B. Currin Child Development Center.
