Angelica J. Hernandez Ramos- DL 1st grade

My name is Angelica J. Hernandez Ramos, I am from Cali- Colombia and I am teacher for the dual language immersion program. I have 10 years of experience teaching in elementary and high school. I have a bachelor's degree in foreign language and a Master's degree in neuropsychology and education.

Crystal Klein- Kindergarten

My name is Crystal Klein, I live in Johnston County, but I have worked at MES for 23 years! I love this school and community and I look forward to teaching the Kindergarten this year.

​ Savannah Neal- 1st grade

This is my fourth year teaching at MES. As an educator, I believe that we are given a difficult job and everyday that job seems to become a little harder or challenging. I believe that it is a part of my responsibility as an educator to provide a capable student, both academically and socially, despite the difficult situations that many students seem to face. I effectively teach my students by offering a flexible classroom and exhibit student centered teaching throughout the day. Student-Centered teaching will encourage the students to construct their own learning and become more engaged and on task throughout the day.

 

Ryan Adams- 1st Grade

 

I am excited to be in my second year teaching first grade at MES! Before becoming an elementary teacher, I spent more than 10 years in higher education, teaching college courses and leading extension and outreach programs at NC State and Iowa State University. After a rewarding career in academia, I decided to make a big change and focus on inspiring young learners. My goal is to create a classroom where learning is engaging, hands-on, and most importantly, fun! I hope to share my enthusiasm for learning and help every child develop curiosity, confidence, and a lifelong love of discovering new things.I earned both my bachelor's and Master of Science degrees in Horticulture. I enjoy sharing that passion with my students by bringing nature and hands-on exploration into the classroom whenever I can.

Ashley Jones- TA Kindergarten

My Name is Ashley Jones, and I was born and raised right here in Nash County. I have been a TA for over 10 years, and have worked with all grades, including EC and Prek. I spent my first 8 years at Spring Hope Elementary, and now going into my 3rd year here at Middlesex Elementary (Go Cougars!!). The past 5 years I have been solely with kindergarten , and that will forever be my favorite. I have been married for over 20 years and I have one daughter, two dogs and a cat! I am so excited to welcome all the new students who enter our classrooms and look forward to watching each of them grow and learn!! Romans 12:7
